Ther SENT-BUS enables an additional serial data transmission during the measurement data transmission. The contents of the serial messaging is sensor specified and have to be taken from the sensor manufacturer data sheet.
In case the Simulyzer is in use as a sensor, the data of the serial messaging can be simulated (Serial Messaging Seq Editor).
The serial messaging offers 2 transmission types:
Short Serial messaging
The data are transmitted bit to bit at the second high significant bit position of the status/messaging data section.
The begin of the serial data messaging occurs by a "1" at the most significant bit position at the status/messaging data section.
After that the most significant bit includes always until the end of the serial data transmission a "0".
The second most significant bit includes the following transmission data:
Starting with 4 bit (1 nibbel) Message-ID, 8 bit (2 nibbels) data byte, 4 bit (1 nibbel) CRC error detection.

Enhanced Serial Messaging
Serial messaging-format for several message-IDs with enhanced data section.
The data will be transmitted at the both most significant bits of the data section status/messaging.
The begin of the data transmission occurs by a bit pattern of "01111110" at the bit No. 3
The pure data value is 21 bit long. Thereby 2 configuration can be selected, depending on the setting of the configuration bit.
- Configuration bit=0: 12 bit data and 8 bit message-ID
- Configuration-Bit=1: 16 bit Data and 4 bit message-ID.
